Believe in YOU
I always tell people the truth.
That the highlights of my career, celebrity clients, awards, book deals, and TV shows were not due to my ‘talent.'
I know many people more talented than me.
The reality is that my success was due to self-belief, visualizing daily, and working consistently towards my goals.
A famous example of the power of belief is the story of Roger Bannister.
Up until 1954 conventional wisdom stated that it was physically impossible for a human being to run a mile in under 4 minutes.
After failing to medal at the Olympics Bannister had a goal to be the first athlete to run a mile under 4 minutes.
On May 6, 1954, Bannister broke through by running it in 3 minutes 59.4 seconds.
The breaking of the four-minute mile was a transformational event that eliminated a psychological barrier.
Six weeks later, an Australian, John Landy, ran one second faster.
Since then, about 1400 people have run sub 4-minute miles.
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right.” (Henry Ford)
